Greetings, Adventure Friend!

A LONNNNGGG Time in Getting Here!!

ALAMOSA COUNTY --
from ATLAS TO COLORADO GHOST TOWNS, VOLUME I

This promise for a free E-Book on Alamosa County was from the Waybill To Adventure Gazette, back in 2003 ... but it's been a hectic year and a half, getting everything going with WaybillToAdventure.com! I am finally getting started on this set of Atlases. Download our free book (see below) and you will soon see why I am so excited over this project.

The writing and construction of the original books, 1984-1986, was quite the project in itself and it was a lot of work and a lot of fun. Now that things have gone digital, you'd think it would make life easier! But, with all the new avenues for research, it literally makes things into "Mission Impossible"! However, we expect these two volumes to be very much expanded, and indeed, a definitive source on Colorado ghost towns.

For those of you who plan to travel to treasure sites in Colorado, this is a must-have book, whether in print form, or if you pre-order the E-Books. For everyone else, these are classics in the field, and also a must-have!

Just FYI -- we have a number of Volume I books, but Volume II has been out of print for awhile. We keep receiving requests, and DARNED if I am going to give up my last two copies! Snag one of the Volume I's while you can! For now, our plans are to provide this best-selling set of books ONLY through E-Book and on CD-ROM. The print books are now collector items! (Which makes me feel old as dirt, but ... depending on where the dirt is, I guess that's good as gold!!)

May every day be an Adventure!

ALAMOSA COUNTY, from our title, Atlas of Colorado Ghost Towns, Volume I.

THIS E-BOOK IS A FREE DOWNLOAD AND OUR GIFT TO YOU! E-Book by Leanne Boyd.

Attempting to create an atlas of Colorado ghost sites has been a monumental task. We have found it to be a job without any real end, something where one can go on and on, adding bits and pieces of information evermore. Some would be important, or interesting, and some probably less so.

We have attempted to be as accurate as possible in mapping. We tried to give brief, clear statements of fact to supplement that mapping, using abbreviations and cutting out words and phrases to avoid a longer, far more expensive book.

Should YOU decide to seek out some of these sites, and perhaps try to stroll those streets of yesteryear, you also will surely feel both the joys and frustrations of attempting to look into the past.
